Great write up. Next time you make it to B'Ham, check out Bella Cucina at the Village at Lee Branch
611 Doug Baker Boulevard, Birmingham, AL 35242 (South on 280). It used to be an O'Carrs but wanted to serve wine and beer. I think their chicken salad beats O'Carrs hands down. I get the chicken salad served on sour dough toast that is wonderful and I always ask for extra pickles - home made and scrumptious.
